This information is solely for those of you who have never make room reservation online before at First World Hotel or Theme Park Hotel of Resort World Genting at Genting Highland.
When you go to its website, after you have made your selections for mode of payment, mane of hotel, room category and the date of checking in and checking out, you click the “All Rate” button.
It will take you to another page where you can see the availablity of the room and together with the room rate (price).
Now, here is the confusing part for some of you who have never booked room online at Resort World Genting. Under the Promotion column, you will see Best Deal and Online Rates.(below)
So, which one should you select, Best Deal or Online Rates? What is the difference between these two promotion? Is Best Deal for Membership? You will also notice that the Best Deal price is listed lower than the Online Rates.
The Best Deal is the ongoing promotional rate and the Online Rate package is the yearly price on the website.
In other words, most of us will select the Best Deal; which is cheaper than the Room Rates.
The difference between Best Deal and Room Rates is the terms and conditions as per iHoliday-Best Deals promotion terms and conditions.
For Best Deal Terms and Conditions:
Strictly NO amendments/ cancellation/ extensions/ refunds/ transfer will be allowed once the reservation is confirmed.
However, there is RM30 amendment fee per room per night will be charged if you made any changes such as amendment of arrival/ departure date, name and etc. Plus the amendment is subject to the room availability and if the new check-in date is fall on different seasons from the original booking, you are required to pay for top up charges.
For Online Rates Terms And Conditions:
AMENDMENT/CANCELLATION POLICY:-
a. Kindly advise on any cancellation prior to arrival date subject to the below stated terms and condition, otherwise a non-arrival charge of total room nights will be levied.
b. Any amendment or cancellation will be subject to the following:-
LOW AND SHOULDER
* A cancellation fee of 50% charge against the amount paid will be imposed for cancellation made less than 48 hour notification prior to arrival date.
* A cancellation fee of 30% charge against the amount paid will be imposed for cancellation made more than 48 hours notification prior to arrival date.
* An amendment fee of 30% charge against the amount paid will be imposed for amendment made less than 48 hours notification prior to arrival date.
PEAK AND SUPER PEAK
* There shall be no refund for any cancellation made less than 7 days notification prior to arrival date.
* A cancellation fee of 30% charge against the amount paid will be imposed for cancellation made more than 7 days notification prior to arrival date.
* An amendment fee of 30% charge against the amount paid will be imposed for amendment made less than 7 days notification prior to arrival date.
NO SHOW
* No refund will be entertained.
* Any cancellation made later than the stipulated days, no refund shall be entertained.
* No amendment or cancellation shall be entertained for any payment made on packages reservation.
c. A CANCELLATION CODE MUST be obtained for the cancellation made. This code must be retained to preserve your rights in the case of dispute.
d. Our Front Office will not allow guest to check in should there be any amendment of names upon registration.
e. Request for refund for cancellation made must be in writing together with this ROOM CONFIRMATION letter to the above address within 30 days from the date of issue
f. On no show from guest, no refund shall be entertained.
In short, the cheaper one which is Best Deal, once the reservation online is confirmed, you will NOT get back your money (totally no refund for cancellation). Furthermore, if you want to make amendment (arrival/ departure date, name and etc), you have to pay RM30 per room.
As for the Room Rates package, you can still get back some of your money if you make cancellation before certain time frame, as stated above.
