You can watch all those free movies and some TV series without any China IP address at VQQ.

In other words, you don’t need a VPN (virtual private network) or a proxy server.

But as we all know all China streaming video websites are geo-restricted.

It means:

Those of you who live outside the Mainland China, you cannot enjoy all those free shows from sites like iQiYi, Baidu Video, PPTV, SohuTV, etc.

We need to use a VPN service or a proxy server.

Personally I have even wrote a blog post on how to watch free China streaming videos with FoxyProxy.

But the other day something happened:

When I tried to watch shows from some of these China-based sites, I was surprised.

I could actually watch shows from those popular China streaming sites, without a China IP address!

I am from Malaysia and below is my IP address.

Youku Free Movies And TV Series Outside China Without China IP Address

At Youku, you can watch all the so-called “Free” movies from various countries.

Last week I watched the 2017 full length computer-animated comedy film “The Baby Boss“.

This film is loosely based on the 2010 picture book of the same name written and illustrated by Marla Frazee.

After that, I enjoyed the 2014 third installment in “The Expendables” film series, “The Expendables 3“.

That same evening, I checked out the 2015 Hong Kong-Chinese martial arts action film “SPL II: A Time For Consequences” aka “Kill Zone 2“.

It stars Ong-Bak fame Tony Jaa, Wu Jing, Simon Yam and Zhang Jin, with Louis Koo making a guest appearance.

After taking break, I continued watching this 2012 classic French melodrama, titled “À coeur ouvert” (An Open Heart).

It stars Juliette Binoche and Edgar Ramirez.

As I have said you don’t need a China IP address to watch this film and many more great movies.

For those of you who understand French or read Mandarin, click here and enjoy this heart-rendering French flick.

Youku categorized the movies into three types:

“Free”

“Free For Members”

“Trailer”

Since you are not using a China IP address, you can only watch those movies under “Free“.

“Free” movie are those movie thumbnails without any indication, except with the Chinese word (正片) at the bottom right hand corner (see image above).

It means feature movie.

Note: From my experience, it seems not all so-called “Free” movie can be watched.

But most of them work perfectly well.

For those movies under “Free For Members” and “Trailer“, you only get to watch trailers.

That’s all.

Watch Youku Free TV Series Without China IP Address

Similar to the movies, the TV series are divided into three types: “Free“, “Free For Members” and “Trailer“.

Firstly, I checked out those free TV series from Hong Kong.

Again you cannot watch all the so-called “Free” TV series.

But you can watch most of them.

I tried out TVB 1995 martial arts television series “Fist Of Fury” adapted from the 1972 blockbuster film of the same title by the late Bruce Lee.

The series starred the then younger Donnie Yen.

Next I checked out the new China TV series titled “Princess Agent” aka “Secret Princess Chu Qiao Biography“.

This 2017 Chinese television series based on the novel “11 Chu Te Gong Huang Fei” (11处特工皇妃 ) written by Xiao Xiang Dong Er.

It stars Zanilia Zhao, Lin Gengxin, Shawn Dou and Li Qin.

There are 67 episodes available here.

Then I watched my favorite Korean series “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop“.

This 2016 South Korean television series is about men’s love, success and family.

It stars Lee Dong-gun, Jo Yoon-hee, Shin Goo, Cha In-pyo, Choi Won-young and Hyun Woo.

I watched the American science-fiction mystery drama television series “Under The Dome“.

This 2013 series is based on the novel of the same name by King of Horror writer Stephen King.

The following day, I watched UK’s most watched drama series the fourth season of “Sherlock” by BBC.

This crime drama presents a contemporary adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories.

It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson.
