Taipei Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 Restaurants: For Malaysians who are heading back home to Malaysia, you will be taking your AirAsia flights from Taipei Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 . The Terminal Two airport is spacious and spanking clean. For those who want to get duty-free products, there are many shops to choose from. But if you’re looking for an exciting dining place filled with choices of food and drinks, like back home at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT), you will be grossly disappointed.
At Taipei Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2, it only has one small food court on the 4th floor. It is hidden some distance away from the escalators.
This eatery is called I Mei Food Court. It seems this food place is operated by one local Taiwanese company. It serves only three main food: Dim sum, noodles and coffee & sandwiches. No McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, etc. All Taiwanese stuff. When you up here, you won’t be able to hear or see your flight announcement. There is no P.A. system and TV monitors up here.
When I was there that afternoon (March 20, 2012), the place was rather deserted. Including my table, only four tables were occupied. There were less then ten of us dining up here Taipei Taoyuan Airport .
