The Star Joceline Tan’s Column: One Resource Malaysian Comedians Will Ever Need

Besides Rocky’s Bru blog, here are more funny Malaysian political jokes.

Joceline Tan called her column Analysis in both The Star and Sunday Star, but sad or rather funny to say most of her analysis were way off the mark.

For instant her recent article “GE13: Reeling from Chinese tsunami“, she just conveniently parroted what Najib Tun Razak said; calling it the Chinese tsunami. She wrote: ” The Malay wall held back the Chinese tsunami and Barisan won back Kedah.”

But as we all know, many have commented that GE13 is no Chinese Tsunami.

From people like DAP election strategist Dr Ong Kian Ming, independent pollster Merdeka Centre executive director Ibrahim Suffian, veteran former New Straits Times editor A. Kadir Jasin, political analysts who include Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin, Dr Lim Teck Ghee, Wong Chin Huat.

Oh yes, it was reported in The Star (the article has removed) even the former Federal Territories minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin said that it was not a ‘Chinese tsunami’ but character assassination in social media that caused his defeat in the 13th general election.

Note: Anyway, you can still read it over here.

In fact most, if not all of Joceline Tan’s articles in Analysis, you can find lots of Malaysian political jokes which can be used by our local standup comedians.
