If you are one of those who cannot have your road tax renewed at the Post office, because at the back of your Registration Card is fully printed with previous renewals; and was advised by the post office staff to get a new Registration Card from JPJ.
No, you don’t need to go all the way to Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan aka JPJ to get a new Registration Card.
If fact, you DON’T need any Registration Card to renew your road tax with either AmBank AutoXpress or MyEG Services from your home or office.
How To Renew Insurance And Road Tax With MyEG
1. Call 03-7801 8888. They just need your following details:
a. Vehicle Registration Number
b. Your I.C. Number
C. Car Type
d. CC or Engine Capacity
e. Year of Manufacture
f. Sum Insured
g. Windscreen (Optional)
2. Then they will send you an email with the amount for Insurance and Road Tax.
3. If you agree with it, click the ‘Proceed to Pay’ button.
4.Then they will deliver your Road Tax within the next working day.
Currently, this service does not require you to register or sign in at the website.
Anyone who has a Malaysian registered vehicle with JPJ is eligible to use this service.
Currently the types of payment options available are:
i) Credit card (Visa or Master).
ii) FPX (Financial Process Exchange) – Deduction from your bank account through FPX.
Every successful transaction will be issued with e-Services receipt.
There are two ways you can get your road tax disc:
i) Have it send it to your home with charges
ii) Biometrics thumbprint will be conducted upon ALL DELIVERIES by MyEG Services Logistics Officers to verify and record the details of the person receiving the road tax disc.
According to its website, it says that the online road tax renewal through MyEG Services Berhad’s website is safe and secure.
The Government has given the mandate for MyEG Services to provide the online renewal services for all vehicles registered under PRIVATE usage only, except motorcycles.
As this is an internet based service, thus it is available 24 hours daily.
This service is available for Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah & Sarawak.

NOTE: According to one Post office staff, the downside of using this service is, if you have any problem relating to insurance claim, then you need to contact myEG to get the road tax print. It is because now your Registration Card doesn’t have the latest print remark on it.
