If you really want to eat healthy bread in Malaysia, or rather healthier bread, there are two bakeries in Selangor, where you can pop over to check out their nutritious wholemeal bread.
Craft Bakers Solaris Dutamas
This uncluttered turquoise European style bakery and cafe is set up by a husband-wife team, Gandhi Suppiah and Ellen. It offers freshly baked breads, with no additives or preservatives.
In addition, they use only unbleached stone-ground whole wheat flour imported from from a mill in Dorset in the UK, and baked their breads on stone floor oven.

Step into Craft Bakers, you will be greeted by a huge menu chalkboard listed with a wide array of organic breads: sourdough, ciabatta, bagels, buns, patisseries, pizza, pie, pasty and sandwiches.

White Bread Oven Bakery
This is another place which sells wholesome organic breads which is run by a husband and wife team, Mardia and Mustaffa (aka Martin Prior).
Their place is called Mardia & Mustaffa’s Bakery & Vegetarian Cafe. It is located in Kubu Gajah, Sungai Buloh. It has a small dinning room with just a seating capacity of around 10 people. This simple place offers an interesting selections of apple & oatmeal bread, grain miche, sourdough rollspretzel, teacakes, scones and pizza too.

Similar to Craft Bakers, they do not use additives or preservatives in their baking. Recently, they brought in a stone mill from Germany. So, now they are milling their own wholegrain flours from rye, wheat and barley grains. And immediately they use the freshly milled flour to make their breads; with all the nutritional goodness still intact.
From what I have read in Svevo Brooks’ book “The Art Of Good Living“, it says that extensive research on nutrient has shown that once a grain is milled, it begins to deteriorate nutritionally within a few minutes.
In other words, the whole-grain bread we buy from your local bakeries and supermarkets or make ourselves from purchased flour, it does not contain the proper nutrition.
If you just want to buy their bread, you could buy it from the Justlife chain of organic shops.
