Weird Things in Malaysia: In Malaysia, if you tell someone to go to Hell, it is not just a rude expression anymore. In fact, come August 27, you can actually “go to hell” or rather take a “Hell Tour” at Padang Brown in Penang from 8.30pm to 10.30pm.
As reported in Malaysian News, this is first-ever outdoor “hell tour” in Malaysia which will be held here in conjunction with the ongoing Hungry Ghost Festival.

This “Netherworld Tour” is another one of those strange things in Malaysia, and it is for believers of the spiritual world to “interact” with their loved ones and friends who have passed on.
According to Master Kek Eng Seng, who will be leading the “Netherland tour”, participants would be able to experience different scenarios in hell. Some of them would be able to meet their loved ones who have passed on, or might be able to tour the streets of hell, and while some even have the chance to witness how torture is conducted in hell.
But then, there is no guarantee, that all participants will see all these things. Some might not even start the netherworld tour due to factors such as an anxiety attack. The “Hell Tour” can only take in about 100 persons.
So if you are a Non-Muslim Malaysian and would like to go to hell otr rather go on a “Hell Tour”, then go over to Padang Brown this coming 27th August, 2011. [source: the star]
