Malaysia 13 States Coffee Melaka From Calanthe Art Cafe @ Jalan Hang Kasturi

I have read a couple of reviews about Calanthe Art Cafe Melaka. So this trip, my partner and I dropped by for a quick breakfast. It is located at 11, Jalan Hang Kasturi.

This friendly and cozy  cafe is off the Jonker Walk (Jalan Hang Hang Jebat). The first junction on your left (the landmark is Farmosa Chcken Rice Ball shop), if you are coming from the so-called Red House or Dutch Square and Melaka clock Tower and cross the Tan Kim Seng Bridge.

Calanthe Art Cafe is another one of those quirky decorated cafes similar to Baboon House at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Limau Limau Cafe at Jalan Hang Lekiu or Amelia Cafe at Armenian Street.

Take a walk inside this charming old Colonial house.  It has been creatively decked up with collectibles, retro wooden and rattan furniture set, old records, big TV set with wooden legs, paintings, kitschy lamp shades, and lefty potted plants.

13 States Coffee Melaka
The key attraction of this funky little place is its wide variety of coffee for you to savor. As its big signage outside the shop says: ‘Malaysia 13 States Coffees’.

Besides its local coffee, you can also enjoy other equally great ice-blended drinks.

That morning we just tried out its breakfast sets. We ordered roti canai and nasi lemak set which accompanied with coffee. Surprisingly the roti canai or roti prata was soft and tasty, even better than some of those made by Mamak stalls. The dhal was thick .

The total bill came up to RM13.50.

Even if  you are not hungry, then pop into Calanthe Art Cafe and try out its wide selection of freshly brewed coffee.
