Have you been to Olives Cafe at CapSquare, Kuala Lumpur? CapSquare or Capital Square is a so-called “urban village” which is strategically located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s midtown area; close to Golden Triangle and central business district.
You can reach this sophisticated KL’s dining & entertainment capital via Jalan Ampang, Jalan Wang Dangi (Jalan Campbell) or Jalan Munshi Abdullah.
One Saturday morning I was strolling around the area, snapping photos of the old cement walls along the bank of Klang River at Jalan Ampang, somewhere opposite Menara AIA. This is where there is newly-built bridge near Restoran Noor at Selangor Mansion. Then I walked over to CapSquare Mall to check it out.

There is a good array of renowned restaurants, chic cafes, bars and snacks, which include Starbucks Coffee, Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant, Secret Recipe, Subway, Modesto, Tappers Caffé, etc.

I discovered a simple cozy snack cafe called Olives which is next to Olives Supermarket on the ground floor. It is a great place to hang out with friends over drinks and light refreshments like fresh pastries and sandwiches.
Yes, Olives Cafe serves local kopi “O”, Kopi Susu, Teh Tarik and also Three-Laver Tea as well. Its prices are surprisingly cheap. If I am not mistaken, black coffee or Kopi and Teh “O” costs only RM1.60 nett each. And your cuppa in the traditional kopitiam procelain cup-&-saucer set.

But personally I find the coffee is rather bland. It should get better quality coffee beans like the ones from Toast Box.
