Besides watching free full-length feature movies on YouTube, you can also watch or download movies online legally from these three sites.
All the movies available here are said to be in the public domain.
A public domain movie means the copyright of the movie is no longer owned by its creator, when they reach a certain age and/or when the original creator/owner does not renew their copyright.
In other words, you can watch or download it for free legally.
Here are the three websites which you can watch movies streaming directly from the websites, or you can download the movies and watch them later.
1. Public Domain Torrents
On this website, you can find classics and b-movies that can be downloaded which you watch them on your computer or TV.
Go to Public Domain Torrents and then click on “Newest Twenty Added” link which is located on the left side bar of the page.
You will find movies like Nosferatu, The Fast And The Furious, Thunderbolt, The Strange Woman and many others.
All the movies here are downloaded as Divx AVI files.
They CANNOT be played directly with Windows Media Player(WMP).
You need to install DivX Codec before you can play DivX movies and videos on your WMP.
You can get the DivX Codec over here.
You can also use K-Lite Codec and it can be found here.
Otherwise you can watch the movies with the free DivX Plus Player. For installation details, click here.
My recommendation is use VLC (VideoLAN Client) media player.
This is the most user-friendly multimedia player.
It can play various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, …) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and many other streaming protocols.
VLC can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network.
To download VCL, click here.
Some of the movies can even be downloaded as videos for the Playstation PSP, PDA, and iPod.
Anyway, go over and check out Public Domain Torrents first.
2. Public Domain Flicks
This is another great place to download free full-length feature movies legally.
Once you go to the website, click on “Browse All Movies” link which is located on top right hand corner of the homepage.
From here, you can search for your favorite movies by title and year.
You can also use the search box to look for the movie you want to download.
To watch the movie, you click on the title of the movie, and it will take you to a new page where you can watch it directly on the site.
To download, you have to right click the download links provided below the movie. Then you click “Save Target As...” or “Save Link As...”
They are available in MPEG2, MPEG4, Ogg Video format and also in Torrent.

3. Internet Archive Movies
This is one website which offers a wide variety of full-length feature films that include comedies, film noir, sci-fi / horror, and foreign films.
You can also find silent movies, short format films, stock footage, home movies, world culture documentaries, World War II propaganda, movie trailers and many more.
There are two links provided which can help you to search for your movies by subject/keywords or you can browse them by language.
Many of these videos are available for free download.
On the right side of the page, you can know which movie was the most downloaded of the week, most downloaded movies of all time, and the staff picks.
The best way to look for your favorite shows is to browse from the section called Sub-Collections. If you want to search for movies, scroll down to Feature Films.
Click on it and it will take you to a new page fill with three thousand over movies.
Under the Sub-Collections, the films are sorted out by Comedy Films, Film Noir, German Cinema from Lutz Mommartz, Pixfixer Feature Film Collection, Sci-Fi/Horror and The Video Cellar Collection.
You can watch the movies directly from the site or you can download them in various different file formats.
Then you can watch them in your computer or TV.
So, what are you waiting. Click Internet Archive Movies right away.
Enjoy your favorite movies online legally.
