Outlaw Country Singer Willie Nelson Statue Unveiled In Texas 4/20

Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die: Do you know April 20, or 4/20  is an unofficial pot-smoking holiday? Well, it was said that the term 420 was a police code for a marijuana bust in progress. So marijuana smokers aka stoners started using the number as an underground term for getting high.

Anyway, the recent April 20, an 8-foot-tall bronze statue of country legendary singer Willie Nelson was unveiled in front of the Moody Theater on 2nd Street, otherwise known as Willie Nelson Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

78 year-old country music icon Willie Nelson has been an outspoken marijuana advocate for years now ans even with several arrests for marijuana possession.

On the day of unveiling of his statue, outlaw country singer Willie Nelson entertained his fans rendering “On the Road Again” and his new song “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die”. Watch the mini concert below in  Texas 4/20.
